Club Night Recap – September 29, 2025: Disposable Camera
Our September 29 Club Night was one to remember! With the special theme of Disposable Camera, the night had a fun, throwback vibe that reminded us all that you don’t need fancy gear to make meaningful images.
Kicking Things Off with Talks
We started the evening with two talks that got everyone thinking:
Andre Leigh gave us “Film Photography: Embracing The Good, The Bad & The Ugly”. It was a down-to-earth look at the highs and lows of shooting film, and a reminder that imperfections are part of the charm.
Yang Hong then took us into the world of Large Format Cameras. If you thought disposable cameras slowed you down, large format takes patience to a whole new level—but the results are beautiful.
Both talks had the room buzzing with questions and fresh ideas.

First-Ever Live Voting
This month, we also rolled out something new: live voting! Members in the room got to cast their votes in real time for both the Special Theme and the Open Theme categories. It added a great sense of energy (and a little suspense) to the evening.
