After Dark: Cathay Camera Club Annual Exhibition 2025 at Pao Galleries
From September 12 to 14, 2025, the Pao Galleries at the Hong Kong Arts Centre transformed into a vibrant showcase of contemporary photography, as the Cathay Camera Club (CCC) unveiled its much-anticipated annual exhibition, After Dark.
This year’s evocative theme explored the world that awakens when daylight fades—where shimmering city lights, atmospheric shadows, and distant stars converge. With works by 35 talented photographers, visitors experienced a journey into the mysterious and beautiful side of night, spanning tranquil starlit landscapes to dynamic neon-lit urban streets. Each image told its own unique story under the cloak of darkness.

Why After Dark Matters
Photography captures not just what we see, but also what we feel. After Dark invited audiences to pause and reflect on the mystery, solitude, and beauty hidden in the night. Through diverse interpretations, the exhibition highlighted Hong Kong’s unique character—where quiet alleys meet buzzing neon districts, and the natural sky contrasts with manmade light.
