Club Night: Black & White Landscape

  • Hong Kong Hong Kong (map)

This month’s challenge is “Black and White Landscape.” Explore the timeless elegance of monochrome by capturing landscapes where form, contrast, and texture take the lead. Without the distraction of color, black and white photography pushes you to emphasize mood, geometry, and the emotive interplay of light and shadow.

Our guest judge for this challenge is Rensis Ho, an accomplished Hong Kong–based photographer celebrated for his evocative monochrome work and fine-art sensibility. His landscapes and urban scenes are known for their atmospheric depth, strong tonal control, and poetic stillness — qualities that have earned him recognition in both local and international exhibitions. His thoughtful eye and artistic discipline bring invaluable insight to this month’s competition.

We eagerly anticipate your interpretations of this theme, as you reveal the drama, delicacy, and sculptural beauty of the natural world through the purity of black and white.
