Talk: Street Photography

Our very own club member Craig Meakin shares his secrets for achieving stellar street photography. Over the years, Craig has mastered the technique of capturing up-close portraits in Sham Shui Po, his playground for photography.

His method also involves an acute awareness of light and shadow, using natural urban lighting to highlight textures and expressions. Sham Shui Po’s vibrant environment offers a rich tapestry of backgrounds, which Craig leverages to add context and depth to his portraits without distracting from the subject.

Join us for a memorable evening with the Cathay Camera Club as we celebrate our shared passion and bid a heartfelt farewell to Craig, who will soon be relocating to Mainland China. This fantastic night is an opportunity to connect, reflect, and honor Craig's contributions to our community. We look forward to your presence in making this event truly special.
